1) Mt. Zion AME Church in Devon Celebrates its 170th Anniversary

During this celebration of God, community & history, PA Senator Andrew Dinniman, our Chester County Commissioners, and the Chairman of the Tredyffrin Supervisors Murph Wysocki offer recognitions of the enduring importance of the church. 1st Sgt. Algernon Ward Jr. and fellow 6th Regiment US Colored Troops soldiers honor two of their own Civil War brothers who are buried in the church’s cemetery. Recorded September 21, 2019 in the historic church.
